About Boonsboro Wellness Center Acupuncture
Jeffrey Worth, R.N., L.Ac.
Jeffrey Worth, R.N., L.Ac., has dedicated his entire adult life to the healing arts. He originally became interested in natural health care when he was 19, graduating from the Luther Rice College of Massage Therapy and Natural Healing in 1975. Jeff launched and maintained a successful massage therapy practice in Kensington, Maryland, for 13 years. To further expand his understanding of the human body and wellness, Jeff studied nursing and became a registered nurse (R.N.) in 1988.
Then, after experiencing the successful resolution of long standing health problems through his own acupuncture treatment, he was inspired to study Chinese medicine. Jeff received his degree in acupuncture from the Traditional Acupuncture Institute in Columbia, Maryland, in 1991. In 1995, he established the Boonsboro Wellness Center, which serves patients from all over Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia. The center has continued to grow and expand over the years and, in order to accommodate a growing number of patients, Jeff moved the practice to its new location at 27 South Main Street, Boonsboro, MD in April, 2008.
Jeff brings to his practice this wealth of experience and knowledge, offering patients a customized "package" of healing modalities to suit their needs.
Jeff continually updates his knowledge of wellness and Traditional Chinese Medicine through classes, seminars and research. In particular, since 2010 Jeff has been a student of Master Nan Lu, a Qi Master from China. He is proud to serve Boonsboro and surrounding areas through his regular community talks and classes on acupuncture, Qigong, and natural solutions for common health concerns. He was appointed by the Governor of West Virginia to serve on the West Virginia Board of Acupuncture for six years.
Jeff resides in Boonsboro with his family.
